TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
Read Romans 6:12-13 in your Bible or click on it to read it online in the Living Bible (TLB).

¹² Do not let sin control your puny body any longer; do not give in to its sinful desires. ¹³ Do not let any part of your bodies become tools of wickedness, to be used for sinning; but give yourselves completely to God—every part of you—for you are back from death and you want to be tools in the hands of God, to be used for his good purposes.

APPLICATION – as inspired by the Holy Spirit
I hope you’ve taken a moment to read the verses referenced above, as they’ll help you better grasp the context of this devotional.

Making the decision to follow God’s way may seem simple at first glance, but it is important to realize that unless you intentionally invite Jesus to guide you according to His purpose, Satan will attempt to reclaim control over your life. If you have accepted Jesus as Lord, you have left behind the ways of Satan. So, why allow him to draw you back into sinful behavior or persuade you to speak against God’s plan for your life?

Jesus never sinned; He is known as love and consistently spoke only what the Father directed Him to say. As His followers, we must ask ourselves if the same can be said of us. By accepting Jesus, you have committed to think, act, and speak as He did, because you are a Christian—a “little Christ.”

Consider the impact of your example: If someone encouraged their friends to live according to Jesus’ teachings and example, or to follow the footsteps of one of His devoted followers, would your actions lead them astray or confirm wise guidance? My prayer is that others will see Jesus reflected in everything we say, do, or think today, dear friend, brother, or sister.

PRAYER
Lord, I believe it’s clear that many believers can lose their way, perhaps thinking faith is just a one-time decision and commitment. But for those who are honest with themselves, we realize that even as believers, living in this world makes us vulnerable to Satan’s deceptions, especially when our hearts are more focused on worldly things than on a daily walk with You. Lord, I pray that we would be so filled with You and Your amazing love that there’s no room for Satan or his allies to exploit our weaknesses. With God, all things are possible! May we show that every day by asking You to guide our thoughts, actions, and words, so the world will see, know, and believe in the One in whom we have placed our faith and trust—Jesus Christ, my Lord! AMEN!
