TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
I would love for you to read today’s Scripture in your own personal Bible!

Romans 3:1-4 (NLT): ¹ Then what’s the advantage of being a Jew? Is there any value in the ceremony of circumcision? ² Yes, there are great benefits! First of all, the Jews were entrusted with the whole revelation of God. ³ True, some of them were unfaithful; but just because they were unfaithful, does that mean God will be unfaithful? ⁴ Of course not! Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true. As the Scriptures say about him, “You will be proved right in what you say, and you will win your case in court.”

APPLICATION – as inspired by the Holy Spirit
I hope you’ve taken a moment to read the verses referenced above, as they’ll help you better grasp the context of this devotional.

Paul ended chapter 2 by confronting the Jews about their failure to live out the very law they claimed to honor. The Gentiles had no godly example to follow, even though the Jews had been entrusted with the full revelation of God. What a privilege—and yet what a missed opportunity.

Before we judge them too quickly, we must pause and consider our own day. Christians today possess the complete Word of God. Many of us attend church faithfully, participate in Bible studies, and enjoy conferences and devotionals. We have been given more spiritual resources than any generation before us. Yet how often do we keep this treasure to ourselves? How often do we freeze when someone asks about our Savior?

We may comfort ourselves by inviting people to church, but what if they never make it through the doors? What will we say to Jesus about the moments we let slip by—moments He placed in our path so we could speak of His goodness? You don’t have to be a pastor or a theologian to share the Gospel. If you have the overwhelming joy of knowing Jesus as Lord of your life, you already have a powerful story to tell!

It causes us to ask the same question Paul posed to the Jews: What is the real advantage of being a Christian if we keep it to ourselves?

A fellow believer recently reminded me, “You will not impact the world by faithfully going to church. You will impact the world by being the church when you go out into the world.” That is the advantage of being a Christian—we carry Christ with us wherever we go. God does not expect you to share what the preacher knows; He expects you to share what you know and what you have experienced in your walk with Him.

Verses 3 and 4 remind us that even when we stumble, falter, or hesitate to share His goodness, God remains forever faithful. His love endures forever, and His watchful care never fails. When someone crosses your path with a hurting heart or a searching question, it may very well be God giving you a divine appointment to speak of His grace.

We easily talk about our pets, our hobbies, or our grandchildren—pulling out pictures and sharing stories with joy. If we truly have a living, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ, shouldn’t it be just as natural and effortless to talk about Him? Not everyone will welcome your testimony, but not everyone welcomes your stories about your grandkids either—and you share them anyway. Your relationship with Christ is your testimony. Trust Him, and share it as you go.

📌 TODAY’S CHALLENGE

Someone might say:

• “You look happy today.” Share the joy of the Lord that fills your heart.
• “You look sad today.” Share how your heart aches for those who do not yet know your Savior.
• “You look troubled today.” Share how you long for people to seek eternal joy rather than temporary happiness.
• “You sound confident about your eternal destiny.” Share how John 3:16 assures you that whoever believes in the Son of God will have everlasting life.

May the assurance of your salvation stir fresh hope that others will come to know Christ and become one with Him.

PRAYER
🙏 Heavenly Father, thank You for entrusting me with Your Word and with the privilege of knowing Jesus as Lord. Forgive me for the moments I have remained silent when You opened a door for me to speak. Give me courage, compassion, and clarity as I share my story with others. Help me to be the church wherever I go, shining Your truth and Your love. Use my life to point someone to Christ today. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
